1. I am the eldest in the family
2. Born in an awesome town called Ipoh
3. Favourite soccer team is Manchester United and been their fan since 10 years old
4. Speak fluent English and BM, can converse in Cantonese while my Mandarin and Hakka is kindergarten level. I cannot read or write any Chinese dialect.
5. I started to learn guitar when i was 12 years old
6. I can play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and drums. So my life’s regret is to never pick up piano when i was young
7. First band that i like was MLTR
8. Hate horror movies
9. I am a big fan of Kamen Rider, super sentai and power rangers. I still watch them
10. I am a big Marvel comics fan
11. Favourite color : red, green, blue
12. 12 is my favourite number because it is my birthdate
13. I actually would favour western food over asian food
14. I worked in BERNAMA, a local news agency before for 3 months as part of the industrial attachment. So ya, had the chance to meet local politicians, sportsmen, artists in person
15. I have visited most of the Malaysian states except Terengganu and Perlis
16. I represented my primary school in chess and handball tournaments
17. If i am eating rice, i never like to eat it dry. I would pour soup or sauce over it.
18. I hate vanilla. Never give me anything vanilla eg ice cream or cake
19. Coffee lover
20. In case you forget, i have two solo albums — “this road” & “the day after”

Something in September

GREETINGS FRIENDS! :)

I just want to take this opportunity to announce that in September, I am planning to release some special tracks.

These songs were actually recorded when I was still in KL. I did not immediately release them because I was playing with thoughts of what to do with it but now, I feel the time has come for the world to listen to them. Details on how I am releasing it, well, I am still looking into it and as time passes on, I hope to have a firm answer for it. It could come in a form of just singles or an online EP. So yea, speaking with faith here on the release.

These songs will mark the 5th anniversary of my 1st album release so I guess that tells you when it is out. At the same time, it's my way to thank you all for your never-ending support and love towards my solo project.

I said it many many times, that doing this has never been easy. Sometimes I feel like throwing the towel but by the grace of God, I am still doing music. Maybe not in the capacity that I thought but I am taken aback how far the music has gone to. Your encouragement time and time again reminds me not to take this opportunity lightly. I am also reminded at the end of the day, these songs are not about me but about Him. I am not saying this to sell the songs.. I am saying that it's not by my own might but by His strength I am doing this.

With that, I hoping these songs will be a testimonial of God's goodness to all of you. I pray these songs will be a blessing to you all and can't wait to let you guys hear it.

Recently a lot of people affirmed me through the albums and songs I wrote.

Perhaps I should get some songwriting back on track. I have been abandoning it a bit because busy with conferences, camps and studies.

Will keep you all updated.

But I hope in Sept-Oct I will be doing something special for you all. I hope.

my birthday wish 2014....

Thank you all for making this year’s birthday fun and awesome.

I suddenly wished everyday it's my birthday.. because you all have made it awesome in your own beautiful ways.

I am not sure why FB notified you all a day earlier about my birthday so on the eve of birthday, I already received so many wishes. 

Anyway, I appreciate your wishes a lot and it means to me, that’s why I take the effort to reply each one of you. It always that time of the year where I received lots of messages on various platform.

Thanks for the cakes as well. Love them!

So many people to thank... so one big love to you all!

Prior to my birthday, I admit I struggle with the questions of what is next for me. The thing about living life with God, it’s always an adventure. The more I asked sometimes, the more I find myself trusting in God. That’s what has been driving me on. That’s what has made my life interesting over the past few months.

Recently I was with a wise man and he was asked a question by a friend of mine about what he thinks about life and the things that happening in the world. He just simply answered “without God, we are just hopeless”. 

Simple yet profound.

True, without Him, our life is a mess. Look at the world today, we can say all we want about every issues out there, but truth to be told, we need God. That’s the bottomline.

There’s so many negativity out there… especially here on social media honestly. Sometimes it saddens me to read how much “pain” you guys going through whether in schools, relationships, work or life. I want to say no matter who you are, believe me that you are actually better than the circumstance. Don’t waste your energy on negativity, it’s never worth it. Things come and go, including negativity. We just need to be positive and persevere. We cannot be perfect.. yup.. I will make mistakes and do things that I regret but life is a never ending lesson.

That’s my birthday wish for you all. Each one of you can make a difference in the world. You don’t need to be like Bono or Mother Teresa-que figure to be a difference. Just be who you are. Be that shining light in your home, schools, office and nation.

Performed 2 songs at mr and mrs Gavin's wedding banquet.

Was an honour to perform for them because i know both of them for a long time .. Since our time in FCC.. From cell group to ministry to being Gavin's housemate..
